The behavior of the remote host list wasn't as I had hope. I remote admin many hosts. I added a few hosts to the docklet. When I right-click the docklet, I see the list of hosts, then I left click the desired host. I was expecting it to fire up rdp to that host after that, but it just makes the docklet "ready" to connect to the host I just selected. I then have to left click the docklet again to get it to go to the host I had selected. This isn't so good, unless I'm missing something. It would be better if the rdp docklet could be a "free agent" of sorts, allowing you to right click for the hosts list, left click on the desired host and away you go an rdp session to that host.

Well.. you are right, you first select the host you want to connect to by right-clicking on the docklet and selecting the desired host, then you open the connection by left-clicking on the icon docklet... I may add an option to "open session on select" how do that sounds... this way it would work as you expect, by selecting the host the session would be fired. Is not checked the docklet would continue to work as I originally designed it to. Please send me an email (my mail address is in the RDP_Docklet_readme.txt file) if this is ok. I like it very much. I would like some additional information on what it would take to add a similar docklet for Nx (www.nomachine.com)? I use Nx to connect to all of my Linux/Solaris/*NIX servers. Cheers, Sean

Well if the Nx software could be executed by passing a profile configuration file (with the configuration settings somehow coded in it) I think I could add support for it without to much hasshle. Currently I am working on an updated version of this docklet that would let backup/restore configured profiles, reorder the profiles & securely save the password to the docklet configuration file. I think this is the moment to add any additional requirements you may have... although I have never used Nx you may email me with the details and I will try to add support for it.

I have downloaded the nxClient software and read the accompanying manual... from what I can see it'a just a matter to calling the nxclient --session [sessionfile]... you should be able to create a shortcut to it... executing nxlcient --config [sessionfile] will not launch the connection but the configuration mode for it (well sort of) I could not do a complete test out of it... I think it would be better to create a new docklet rather than modifying this one to support it. Maybe I will create a poll in the forums and if I get enough feedback I could write such a docklet.

Thanks for this nifty docklet. Smaky, I just wanted to alert you to a typo in the docklet. If you edit one of the connections, then go to the Advanced tab, one of the settings in the Server Authentication drop-down box is "Connect and don't warm me". Do you have some hidden interface to my heater? 
Or, should that read "Connect and don't WARN me"?

Using ObjectDock 1.90 on Win7 RTM. Crashes ObjectDock when attempting to launch a newly configured RDP session to Win2003. �
