Just look at the sample images:
They are all frames for one channel in one image. In the INI-File, you specify
if its mono or stereo, how many frames there are and where they are positioned.
You can reuse one channel image on both channels, too. Its pretty straightforward.

However, due to performance issues, there are almost no security checks while
reading a malformed INI file. Crashes may occur. Caveat emptor.

This is a great little meter but could you also add the option to display the channels out too (ie to your speakers)? That'd be really cool if you could

Still this is a great little mod

I don't get what you mean - what's a "channel out"?

I have to keep setting my vu meter to average meter type each time I turn on Object dock. Can you make it so that once I have chosen average meter it stays there. Thanks.

oops! That shouldn't be.
That setting isn't written to the file on close.
However, you can edit it yourself.
Locate a line:
Peak=1
in your settings.ini and change it to
Peak=0

That would do. I'm investigating using DirectSound for surround sound meters and adding fast fourier transform algorithms to do
spectrum analyzers but it's a long way to go and very little time available.

Hi Herd,

Which .ini file needs the peak=0 changed? I only see a .dll and a .chm file in the vu meter docklet folder.

Thanks

Hi Herd,

Unfortunately, if you quit object dock it overwrites the peak value back to peak=1. So althought this sounded good it does not work. Thanks though.
