Hiya Judge/all,

I Wondered if you could help me with a problem. I downloaded itunes2.0.2 from this page and extracted it to \stardock\objectdock. Next i created a sysstats and used load and selected iTunes2.ini. When i looked at the object bar, there was no icon for iTunes2 but there was a space where it should go with the correct label "itunes" underneath.
I tried clicking the invisible icon but itunes would not start. I have tried to modify the various parameters to avoid asking you but unfortunately i still cannot get it to work and need your wisdom.
I am running the latest sysstats but i am not sure if this zip file of itunes2 is the latest (i noticed your updates at the top say 2.1 whereas i think the download i have maybe 2.0.2 which would be an earlier version?). I am also running version 4 of itunes, does this matter?

I would greatly appreciate any help or step by step guide if at all possible. You are probably not awake yet as i think it will be the middle of the night with you (i am in england)

Thanks all.
Shineyhead.

Hi,
i used iTunes 5.x.x - 6.x.x and it worked so great.
Now with the new iTunes 7 this awesome controler doesn't work anymore.
Are you planning an Update for iTunes 7 or can you please describe/mail the changes I (we) have to make to fix the problem ?

Thanks

Some Fixes found!
I have happy news of being able to make this docklet work correctly after some playing around.
I am running a free version of Object Dock, SysStats v 2.5.11, iTunes 7 and had previously installed the original iTunes docklet by Judge.

The problems:
-Originally iTunes docklet 2 only showed smaller version of album art (with no nav buttons or jewel case) and a 00:35/03:25 tracktime indication that did not change/refresh.
-It changed album art once or twice and then got stuck. The track info was stuck too, for something I don't even have in my iTunes library.
-When removing from dock (in the puff of smoke) it would crash ObjectDock.

The Fixes:
-I foolishly was not fallowing the sparse directions Judge left for either iTunes docklet incarnate. I made a new folder (ie: CPUtracker, iTunesdocklet, iTunesdocklet2) for each docklet to keep them organized.
---Do not make that mistake. Do make sure to add each new docklet to "...\ObjectDock\Docklets\SysStats"
-If there is a blank space for iTunes2 on your dock try going to: rightclick>configure>Overlays and then highlight each option(ie:icon, display, case, prv, play-pause) individualy to make sure that "visible" is checked in the lower left. Mine was not, and that's why I couldn't see the docklet.
-if after checking visible for everything in the overlays palet you still cannot see the docklet try single-left-clicking on the docklet itself. That was my final step to get everything to work, for some reason clicking on it made it work. I had been trying rightclick>refresh, but that didn't do anything.

I hope this helps other's get this very slick docklet working. I am very pleased with it, thanks so much Judge.

Oui,

I really would love to get this docklet working, espcially after all the raves BUT, I can not get the silly thing to do anything when I left-click on the icon ... I have SysStats 2.5.11 & iTunes 7.0.2 and no luck

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Sean

so i dont know if you can edit this or not.... right now when you mouse over the icon it shows the album name and the name of the song, is there anyway to make it say the artist name and song title instead? the docklet works very well otherwise!!

I'm using objectdock 1.5, itunes 7.1, systats 2.5.11. When I set up itunes 2.0.2, it gives me a blank area with the itunes text- nothing in the comments above helps me get any functionality.

BUT, if I start itunes manually, the album cover and controls appear and work perfectly!
So my only problem is how to get the icon to work when itunes is not started, and to get the icon to serve as a clickable shortcut to start itunes in the first place.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks!

This docklet is simply not working for me. I tried standardsoil's fixes and none of them seemed to make it work. I have the newest versions of iTunes, SysStats, and ObjectDock. When I install this docklet it comes up as a blank space on my dock that says iTunes. I checked and everything should be visible and when I click on it nothing happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, I've spent the last 2 hours trying to figure this thing out. I'm ready to delete it and forget it. If anyone cares to help me out here it would be greatly appreciated. I'm starting to feel like a novice again and I've been messing with computers since the first XP came out. My email is woody8153@msn.com.  Thanks in advance.
