Hey, kind of cool wall, i don't know about the wall colors and such - but it looks like you had alot of fun making this - if you get the chance maybe change up the walls a little and cut off the door so we can see more of the room - but great start.

"It sucks" a very intelligent comment, thank you for taking the time and effort to write that, Cmbs!

Vinyl sofas had their day in history, along with vinyl chairs and so on. And yes they did look cheap, which is why I put it in this room along with the ugly shag rug, kind of a 50s', 60s', 70s' look, kahnja04! LOL

thank you for your thoughtful comments, Hunny Bee and sociallyineptmike!
I'll see if I can change some things in the room, kind of like moving furniture,or remodeling! LOL

A great many people confuse art with wallpapers. Good art doesn't necessarily make good wallpapers. If you do a poll here, you'll invariably see that this, although great art, isn't really good as a desktop background simply because it's too busy.

On the flip side, great wallpapers aren't necessary great "art". This wallpaper here falls under illustration to me great art. It's refreshing to see a variation in wallpapers here and I DO applaud you for not making the typical "trendy" wallpapers [like I tend to ].

I find it's a balance here: either the person wants to make wallpapers with the "masses" in mind and possibly have thousands of downloads on that wallpaper OR do what yiu're doing which is adhere to the style you've been doing and maintain your art.

I confess, I'm a bit of a trend-maniac because I want to make wallpapers that many will enjoy, not art that some might like. I guess I'm a sell-out hehe..

Take care TBC.

I do want to point out that on the picture frame, just to the right of the door there seems to be some jagged lines not sure why that bothers me.. any chance of that being cleared up? [for next time, maybe?]

Thank you so much for your comments SbGX,, you don't know how good that makes me feel.

I have tried several times to make a wallpaper I thought "everyone" would want to have on their desktop, you know, either gray or blue, no lense flares LOL , etc.etc.etc. (3 etc. from The King and I).
But they were not accepted, to be honest they weren't that good, not that I didn't put alot of effort into them, just not my kind of work!
And then I remember something a teacher told me long ago, if you can reach just 1 person, it is well worth your time and effort.
And you have to have fun, and enjoy what you are doing
No you are not a sell-out, I love most of your work, and have most of them in their own file on my computer, I change wallpaper alot. LOL

And now that you mention it, the picture frame does need to be fixed, or replaced with something else, thank you again, and keep on creating!

tbc, i agree with spyderbytegx, too many of us are guilty of doing walls with what we feel "the masses" would like.
I love your flare for the original!
Keep it up!

You're welcome. In fact, I just recently finished a similar wall but have been hesitant to submit it. You've inspired me to give it a shot though! Who knows?

The shiny vinyl furniture and shag carpeting was, in my opinion, the grossest period in interior decorating. I love the wall though, it's memory inspiring. I am glad you didn't do the carpet in that nasty green color that was so popular. I would love to see a "walk down memory lane" series!
