Jesus? Fred? Superman? DONATIONS???

Attention to detail (Yours I assume?) will make FREDLUVSME help me to use my PC more efficiently and productively???

Yes Glenda, keep your mind on Jesus and ignore the things that really are wrong in 'these days and times'. Maybe if you pray hard enough, you'll be the one....

I thought the testifying thing belonged in church!

I think your attention to detail as you claim, was somewhat lax and should be given a second look.
As for asking for donations.. well, good luck with that and I will leave it there.

"Who's Fred?"
Fred is Brian's brother.
You know 'Brian' .... "The Life of Brian" Brian! I believe the sequel is coming up, "The Life of Fred."
Enough ... not a bad skin at all, a tad too busy for my taste but better than I can do!

Glenda Stocks,
While being a pastor myself, I appreciate your enthusiasm for a relationship with Jesus. However, try promoting that through your own blog or another format, not through a Windowblinds skin description and .txt addons. Granted, I applaud your effort to skin (as of yet, I haven't skinned anything) but your attention to detail and quality isn't exactly what I'd put at the top of the charts. If you want to do a religious skin, that is fine. I'd just suggest leaving it at that and not promoting your faith through item descriptions and addons to the skin.
I'd also suggest nixing the donation idea. Keeping in line with your faith, there are plenty of Scriptures (Phil 4.13, Deut 28.8, Josh 1.8, among others) that you can hold to when asking God to provide a new computer without having to ask donations from people you don't know.
All the best and good luck.

Thank you Mr Beesly for saying eloquently what many would have tried to say in shocked one and two line comments that might not stnad as much of a chance of getting through as your well thought out advice (with which I whole-heartedly agree.)

Thank you for the comments.

I used my first skin as a learning experience and tried to skin as many
elements as possible to familiarize myself with the programs. Since I do
not have Windows XP there are some sections that I did not implement.

I also had intentions to support the users who like LARGE FONTS, and I
learned that using the system fonts element under the classic widgets
section can force your buttons to be drawn large enough to accomodate
large fonts without the text overlapping the edges of the buttons.

In addition, I also had in mind, those users who have other people in the
family using the computer who are not as experienced with windows and need
visual feedback that is simple. For example, we are pros and know where
the min, max and close buttons are, even when they are so fancy that they
are just shapes. However, my Mom needs to see the X and _ and so forth,

Glenda Stocks, in regards to the theological aspect of the skin Mr. Beesley summed it up extremely well, now I will comment on the artistic part of the skin.
An everyday default skin it is not. The vast multi-color scheme is not working at all. It looks more of a carnival theme than a religious skin.
The skin totally lacks consistency. You have gradients from left to right. Gradients from top to bottom. Glass effect, plastic effect, metal effect.
You have green mouse-over effect on some parts and purple mouse-over effect on others.
You have stretch settings where it should be tiled and tiled settings where it should stretch. It would take 2 pages to list all the mistakes.
It is good that you a motivation for skinning and that you want to create something to show your faith, but the skin will have more meaning and acceptance if you were to dedicate a bit more time learning and practicing. Maybe read a few tutorials that coul

Well, as long as I have been here I never tried to say anything about any skin, blind, wallpaper, whatever because I believe that artists should be inspired instead of discouraged, no matter how good, I usually encourage..but..I must say this is the biggest con job i ever seen. And unfortunately must say the worst skin I've ever seen. I;m very happy that you found religion but it looks to me that you tried skinning to make a buck. Hopefully i'm wrong. Anyways enough said.

I appreciate your zeal and boldness. But if I sold you a lemon of a car and said I am giving you a good car because of Jesus, your testimony would be short lived. I am not a skinner. I am a believer. We should do our best work for Him. I believe your heart was in this, but you are in a community of experts skinners. Please don't try to brag about a first attempt skin and use it to advance the kingdom. It will do more harm than good to all involved. You might look at Proverbs 25:6 and 7.

designed for beginner Windows users.

Regarding the crosses and hearts, I feel that they are tastefully
sprinkled around the skin, in about FIVE places. I am not ashamed, at
all, of Jesus, God the Father, or my relationship with Them. For those
people who are not interested, the skin is still benign enough for
everyday use. FREDLUVSME is a fine a

you know i come here to find artistry and different ways to make my computing experience more pleasant and efficient.... two things i have not found here (Much to my joy) are politics and religion.....please lets keep this a neutral ground for such things....or i will make skins showing how agnostic i am.... hope you get my point.....and i really thinks this skin was a lame attempt to make a profit.....and either you are color blind or cross eyed..... but lets not see things like this again

Skin uploads and their resulting comments are not a suitable podium for debates on theology [or politics].  JoeUser is the appropriate forum for such....

Stop--You're confusing me..What in the world is that!

Seriously-Maybe while you are learning/experiencing save your work for the individual you are creating it for and get their input prior to posting. I now nothing about creating skins, but I know a mess when I see a mess.
