I don't often comment on skins, but download often, and particularly like new windowblinds skins. I LOVE this skin. I like the colors and the depth. Just great!

Max min etc buttons are misaligned and need work.
Some transparency would be nice.
All programs is misaligned when you use larger fonts.
My main suggestion though would be to do a proper preview image. The skin looks a hell of a lot better in reality than it does on there. Its a very smooth skin and has some lovely detail work- but yes it is still beta and needs polishing. It should not really be released in the main section yet imho.

What, No toolbar icons??....Just kidding....Like sparklplenty I dont reply much, but I too like this skin. Nice colours and buttons. Can't wait for the final results. Any IP in the furure for this skin?

I didnt make translucent window titllebars because then the menubar is not skined!
As soon as stardock fixes the problem i will make nice round titllebar.

Ip if i get how to make 3d icons... render in maya for compositing or find some one willing to share info on what does he use to make 3d icons

I gonna just say how I am dissapointed with a rating of this skin..
Guys you gotta know that this is not typical customized skin.
I use skins sice I heard (2,3 t 3 years) for this site so I thnk that my opinion matters.(sorry for my spelling)
Anyway that is likely a reason why eyeJ choose me for his beta tester.
He is aware of his bugs which are really hard to notice and at least half of them are not even caused by his poor knowlege of SkinStudio(which is better than knowledge of most skinners).
Many skinners dont bodher whith fixing these problems.
And yes a agree with kin242(prewiew). For example do you know that the rght click menu is actually semi tranparent!?
How many skinz can brag with that feature?!
I use this skin realy long now and I've got to say it is wery usable. This is the feature of original windows xp skin that may look like shit or boring but it easy to find your way around in windows. RG has that quality AND i looks good. (love glass buttons)
One more thing. how many you guys when using this skin had to look closer to read some letters or aim better whith cursor?
Many skinz have great rating just cause they look good in prewiew and when you download them you realize that it is totally diffrent expirience...
.....Which is in most cases bad (expirience).
And by the way... RG stands for "Realy Good"

min/max buttons need work... they're jaggedy and also not very unique. You can even tell in the preview that the buttons are all weird. I do like the scrollbars though.

First skin that I have downloaded in a bit, and that is because I like it. It's a nice skin! Would be great if you worked it into a suite over time. Perhaps some matching widgets... Great job and keep it up!

I have not rated it, as I have not downloaded it (yet) but allow me to help clarify something for you.
If you upload a non-finished skin you are already at a disadvantage in the already less than desirable "ratings game" here.
There is currently no section for Works in Progress so it is generally taken that this section is for completed skins only.
Not sure what you mean by that. WB5 is not broken. There are many skins that function just perfectly with it, so unless you can specify what exactly the mistakes are in WB5 then one can only come to the conclusion that your skin is what is broken and not the software.
Not skinning toolbar Icons is not a crime at all, however jagged and unfinished items such as the toolbar buttons is punishable by nothing less that a ratings drop or a tongue lashing .
Based on the screenshot, it looks pretty smooth and colorful, but I can't help but feel that many of the images are only slightly tweaked original luna images.
Keep plugging at it though....

Workaround. What workaround? Simple decide that u whant te menubar to be a flat color and u have almost no problem except classic button replaceing the menubar item image.

It is not a compromise if u can't make the whole window transparent because it doesn't say that u can (transparent in means off totaly using tga) But if u can do some thing and then if u change some thing else like in the above menubar and titllebar example and then something unlogical happens that is what i call a BUG or MISTAKE whatever.
i am asking people to help me improve the things i can fix not the ones i cant... and another thing in the OffPanel and LogoffPanel if u make them per pixel and the system button is also perpixel u get windowblinds painting the cancel button on a black square. and there is similar stuff.

Is there any way I can make it look like that? I have NO skills in making skins, but if you have an easy way to make it look like that while we wait for the finished skin then I would really like that one too.

dude, you seriously need to chill out. first of all, wincustomize is not the place for beta testing...go over to deivantart and submit it as such there. unless a skin is seriously defficient, it will be accepted here. to freak out the moment you see a low rating is uncalled for, and to start bashing people who would potentially download it with your very first comment speaks volumes of you as a person and a designer. skins gernerally start out with a rating of 3 stars and go from there...perhaps you have a low rating simply because this skin isn't 4 or 5 star material. no matter how much time you spent on it.
second of all massen's writting style is intriquingly similar to your own...wonder why that is? the fact that you created another user name just to back your skin is incredibly lame...don't do it.
you want help in improving your work...then here goes:
- grow up
- make what you like...not what you think others like

i can see you're very attached to this skin... which is fine, if i spent hours creating something, i would probably also feel this way. the skin looks nice.. very nice actually. smooth and well themed. i really like the tabs and scrollbars. my only problem is that personally i don't like the colors, or the feel. it's too "luna-like" for me. and like the others, i don't care for the min/max/close buttons. the menubar really should be skinned too. i know you said something about a bug in wb5 - but i see lots of other skins that don't seem to have a problem skinning that. maybe you're trying to do something really cool that isn't support yet, not sure. but anyway, i still think the skin is very nice, and it's easy to see you spent countless hours creating. good job!

wow what a discussion. ahhahahaah sicon u've gone to far, to make a new user name to backup my skin?? I would never go that far!!! Never!!! I don't even care that much. I can see that i am getting beter in skining with this skin. The reason he has the sam writing style is because he is from croatia to and also doesnt know english verry well. He is my friend and he was realy pissed when he saw the rating, he whas more pissed than I could ever be. You see that is the problem, people are acting to be investigators instead of talking about the skin. And they try to change my way of thinking even if I think the same way as they do. Put up with my act??? Ok. What did i do to offend anyone?? I am yust saying what is on my mind.

U will get permition for modifying the skin in no time just mail me and u can start modifying the skin for your own needs.

one of the possible things that bothers you is that I said that it is a BETA VERSION
...i am only being fair to you!! so that u don�t download the skin like mad and then complain about no toolbar icons...
There are a few bugs but they are caused by some mistakes in WB5
Otherwise it is a full skin!!!!! You just cant tell how good it is to use without trying!
How about u rate it after u download and try it for a few min. ???
Actually I don�t like the high rating on my iGlass skins (I would give them a 3-4) but much thanks to those who rated and downloaded. Why would I give them a 3-4??
They look good but because of their low contrast they are not much usable in windows env (dark wallpapers contrasty icons�) when they get in contact with usual windows icons the effect is� much more poor than it should be.
This doesn�t happen with Windows RG skin.
Feel free to comment anything that is on your mind� just don�t rate before use.
