I feel I cannot justify this fee, mainly because I do not want to contribute to a community who is not interested in the community anymore, but rather in making money. This is not to say your theme isn't good or isn't deserving of money from other people, but again, I cannot give money to a theme just because it is 100% Vista compatible..........
Let's just hope next time it will be a little more reasonable in price or better yet, free.
All this from a user level of VISITOR!
I don't usually say too much around here, but this really got under my skin (no pun intended..LOL!) Mike B has been a long standing and respected member of the community here and has through the years given us countless numbers of free skins of incredible caliber. He's entitled to charge for a skin if the man wishes to. Assuming he put 20 hours into making this skin (which we know is far from the truth) he has given us his time/efforts/talents for a whopping $0.25 an hour. My god Mike, you can come work for me for that salary!!! So you haven't downloaded a theme since installing Vista, how many of WC's theme's, IP's, cursors, etc... did you use prior to Vista?? If ya don't like it, don't download it. You mention about contributing to a community not interested in the community anymore, but I'm going to be willing to bet that you're even using the "free" version of WB and all the other Stardock products. Thanks for YOUR contribution. Z71 has made a fantastic point...173 FREE skins he has provided to this community....173 flippin skins. He should be entitled to charge a small fee for his efforts.
Sorry for MY rant...
Mike, fabulous skin as always from you. I just love your style and very appreciative of all your efforts and creative ideas. $4 was a small price to pay for the hours of eye candy this will give me. Always looking forward to your work!!

It's only happening in Office 2007 on Vista. So it's not going to be an easy thing to fix yourself I imagine it's a WB5.5 issue.

Hey...is it possible for anyone to make a matching cursor and logonxp to go with this great theme (with Mike's permission of course)? That would be awesome.

Musicman1126, please send me a screenshot of the issue. I'm not sure what you mean by going back and forth. Are we talking about the wallpaper?
Surj, could you send me a screenshot also? Do any of the icons appear when you mouse over Computer, Documents, etc.?
My email address is in my profile.

Great skin!
As for cilful's comments that masters aren't uploading "free" stuff for him anymore, here's one I've been running a lot that is fully Vista compliant from a Master:
Also, Cil Ful, given that you aren't a subscriber and haven't bought WindowBlinds, on what basis do you complain that other people aren't doing stuff for you? Even in communism, it's supposed to be a give and take system.

no worries on this, i still like the skin without a user image, and honestly its probably one of the many bugs I'm having with wb5.5 and vista. other things like clicking on menus in photoshop leaves the options greyed out, but if i use the hot-key like alt-f they work just fine and are not greyed out then.

Surj,
Be sure you are choosing the Optix for Vista in the drop down box in Window Blinds configuration page. There are two versions 1. reg xp Optix and 2. The Optix for Vista.
If you are using the xp version the icons seem to disappear. But appear for only a second when lauching the Start panel.
That should do it unless there is something a-mis with your Vista OS. Hope that will help...
