This is a very cool concept, but...certain elements seem to be a bit...unpolished.

The tabs, headerbars, taskbar, and Start Menu readability could use some work.

But amazing concept!  I like it, but not enough to use as my everyday skin.

There will be issues... I am forming my own style and everything is the way I intended. Some parts are designed with a little less usability 4 the benefit of the whole concept.  Hope you enjoy !

Beautiful windowblind full of orginality.  I LOVE IT but there are a few things that need improving but that is always the case with new skins.  My only complaint is that I see a small black bar above the animation on the start menu.  Otherwise this skin rocks.  Also I give you high scores for making the fonts easy to read on the start menu and everywhere else.  This is going to be one of my everday themes for a long time.

Wow Neone6, My hat off to you. Fantastic artwork, I've never seen an actual photo in a startmenu before and at such a cool angle, and on a skyscraper to boot. Love the red hair on the girl, nice touch. Yours, hers or PS? I was unsure if you could do better than "Vermillion" but you certainly outdid yourself with this one. I did miss the XP versionon on "Vermillion" so this is much appreciated, Did you get a lot of requests for "Vermillion XP" and is one coming in the near future? I do however not intend to change from "Subterfuge" as it is perfection and sublime. Your skins are at a different level than anyone elses on this site and I look forward to see if you can top this one. All the best to you    / your biggest fan on here: Chinicegirl

@ Chinagirl: I don´t know what 2 say... You obviously scrutinized my skins... I´m SO glad that you noticed all the details. I´m especially proud of the spaceship-Exodus-animation in the startmenu. As for XP-updates there will be updates 4 both Streamlight and Vermillion but later, I´m working on A black one now. SuperMegaThanx 4 your praise!

With all that going on, though, I would encourage you to keep the keep the tabs, header bar, status bar, buttons, a little more subdued and plain so that they complement the "BIG WOW" aspects of the skin, rather than compete with them.  Your graphic skills are superior, and I look forward to your next piece of art, as I know you're growing and learning more about what Skin Studio is capable of.

Don't pay any attention to ratings.  Nothing will ruin the pleasure of creating like paying attention to ratings.  Ratings are just the public's personal taste--in other words, "the common" opinion.  If that's what you're skinning for, then you need to bring your ideas and style into their liking -- if, on the otherhand, you're trying to do something UNcommon, (which is what I see) then keep going in the direction in which you're going.

lol thats what i told him about ratings too...IGNORE THEM, your skinning for the pleasure, not the number of stars neon. i agree with karen, I found this skin artisically very different and i give you kudos for that, but watch your buttons, (they move) as we discussed yesterday, and also watch your button colours,

 i found it extremely difficult to read the calulator button numbers ect (i use the calculator ALOT) i know you want to go out of the box, and you can,

 but you need to go a bit tamer in some areas so you have usability married with the artwork. and useability is a big thing, basically you need to skin so someone can use your skin on a daily basis and love it.

one last ps: also watch the size of your top perpixel frames, i found it too high, and that results in you having issues with your minimized window captions. also you didnt skin your uis buttons.

Since I´m on "Win7" 99,9% of the time I missed some stuff on the XP 4 sure. Will do better ! Of course I don´t take it the wrong way, especially when it´s coming from you Vamps.

Some really nice ideas but to be honest mate, the skin is very poorly constructed, perhaps try concentrate more on the execution of the elements of the skin rather than putting in graphics that are badly stretched, or tiles, or both just to have the idea fail upon use.

Also, did you do the original artwork on all of these elements? A lot of it looks 3D designed and rendered, What application did you use?
