TAGES is turning me off to dawn of discovery as well...

anno 1404 also uses tages - is it still in effect even when buying through impulse? if so, it's a no go for me

I've heard so many good things about World of Goo, I'm finally getting it. I mean, when it's only $10, how can I refuse? I think I might also pick up Sword of the Stars.

I would pre-order cities xl... but the last city building game I bought before reading the pc gamer review ended up leaving a $40 sour taste in my mouth. Sim City Societies was really bad.
Unfrotunately the demo for cities xl doesn't come out til the 8th, so I have no idea whether or not it is worth getting... So no pre-order for me, even if it does end up costing me $10 extra.

Is Hearts of Iron Mega Bundle worth it?
I don't have any of the title.

Strange, we already have the demo in UE. And funny, we can't buy CitiesXL from Impulse... Hum, I smell a big conspiracy

Well then by all means get on that demo and tell me about it!
But ya, from what i've seen the dates they are setting are a bit... odd. The US demo doesn't come out til the 8th, and unlike most games it is released a day after the EU... However, from the impressions i'm getting online, it looks like it could be quite fun. Then again, so did Sim City Societies *is scarred for life.*

I just try it, it's multi-language (Deustch - English - French).

Anyway, I can assure you it's not like Societies

Heh... Turns out you just have to tell their site you are from the EU to get in.
So far I've played for about an hour, it is interesting. The graphics are really nice, and they run well on my 9800GTX+ (settings at high w/ antialiasing at x2). It did crash on me, but seeing as this is a demo a month from release, that is to be expected... For the most part crash bugs get fixed within weeks of released, so no worries there.
Seems I will likely be ordering it today (along with finally getting around to pre-ordering elemental). Finally something to replace my old Sim City 3000 as my city builder of choice!

Dawn of Discovery isn't worth $25 - not with the TAGES DRM on it. Get rid of the third-party DRM and then it'll be worth paying for.
