Right on Tiggz! Love it. Any animation capabilities in future developments?

Thx guys
Windowblinds is very nearly all done, just some tweaking and fiddling left now...mmmmmmmmm *tweaking* and *fiddling*...er, where was I?
Animation capabilities are a definite possibility with this object, along with some added functionality I thought of just after I hit the "upload now" button

Tiggs, this is a beautiful weather DX. But, it is my imagination or is there an inconsistency with the graphic weather direction thingy and the verbage? It says the wind is SSE, yet the graphic is pointing NNW. If you code something, whatever it is you code, to reflect a 180 degree flip, it would match. Just my observation.

Thx for all the great comments guys

Dabe, as to that...you are sort of right in what you say, but the thing with wind direction is that it is named after the direction the wind is coming FROM. So a northerly wind is blowing from the north, which is why the wind indicator will be pointing south, ie: pointing in the direction the wind is going. It's a bit confusing at first, but I think if I made it point the other way it would confuse even more...I may be wrong. Maybe Wincustomize can run a poll on the subject Or we could run a poll right here in this comments section!

I can see your point, for sure. But, it did make me wonder. It's just that the text indicates one direction, and the graphic does the opposite, so it confused me. As long as we understand the terms, I guess...... It's a beautiful weather dx, anyway, and one that will surely reside for some time on my desktop.

Hehe, I did debate this issue in my mind before doing it the way I did, I spose I just went with my gut feeling in the end. Thx for the compliments. I plan to develop it further, maybe animating the main weather icon in a subtle way, and making the toggleable metric/imperial units independant for temp and windspeed, so you can have centigrade and mph, or whichever combination you choose.

Ya know, Tiggs, as I sit here at my computer looking at the object on my desktop, with the wind coming directly from the west, and the little arrow pointing east, it makes sense to me now. I really can envision this little debate going on in your mind. I think I would have ended up doing the same thing you did. Sometimes, I'm just a tad slow on the uptake. LOL

Well, we have had this on our desktop since day 1. Is it possible for a red one as well?

Thanks!

It's a pleasure Wildharp
I have an update for this in the wings, but it's not red I'm afraid Ronald - although I do also plan to make other styles/colours based on the script and layout
