I'll have a new one out soon as well. There has been some discontent regarding the gradients I used. I have developed a non-gradient version with some different features as well. I'm naming it in memory of the gentleman with whom I was briefly working before he deceased.

Soon. I've got it all ready except for the system status container and the program access container. I'm really trying the make the program access container something that will enhance the theme rather than just be another container. It's a little complicated though. I'm bogged down on it now though due to the limitations of DX version 1.x. I'm informed that DX 2 will allow me greater flexibility to do what I want to do. I haven't really even started on the status container. I suppose I could release what I have but I wanted to just update everything so that everything matches. The gradients are gone in the next release. Depending on the reaction that gets I may repost them under a different name. Post me in the DesktopX newsgroup.

Cool I can't wait to see it. It's been a while since a new LCARS theme has come out, and there doesn't seem as many as there were last year. It's nice when there is a variety. LOL LOL LOL LOL

It's great! But I would love if a 1280x1024 version were available. Keep up the good work!

Version 1 was done in a 1280x1024 but I had so many requests at the time for a 1024x768 that I used that res when doing versions 2 & 3. I'll look into it but it would most likely involve redrawing everything. It would take a while what with my extremely busy schedule and all. Version 3 was in development for over a year.

Yes, Great Work! But this 1024x768 thing? Who uses that resolution anymore??? (

I am so sorry. But getting a bit tired of hearing this thing about 1024x768. There are a lot who still use that resolution and I fail to understand why it is considered passe. Resolution snobs!? I have to say I have met some here and they made a point of putting me down for asking for more 1024x768 resolution themes. Come on guys. You make it a bit of a downer for those who are not as "expert" or advanced as you. Make everyone feel welcome, not put down.

I'm running a dual 19" monitor display and while I prefer a 1280x1024 setting I'm now so used to 1024x768 after developing this theme that I almost don't want to go back. I found that there were a great many people looking for 1024x768 and so I obliged. I don't have specific stats to back this up but my money is on the premise that most people use 17" monitors and with the advent of flat panels the affordable? 15" monitors as well. I'd hate to squint at 1280x1024 on a 15" or 17" all day.

Kudos for sticking with a 1024x768 theme. I have a TablePC that won't do go any higher. You should hear the comments when people see this in tablet (landscape) mode and access it with the pen!

Sorry Vargen, If not in English, at least let me know what language you are using so I can find a translator.

Rich I've been using the theme for almost a week and I've had no problems at all. Great theme, great colours and an excellent interface!

I ran Vargen's comment through a Universal Translator and got this:

Do yourself redo for the rush shock in till life. If yous am breaking this chain am arriving yous that poll krleksproblem 10 year bring out , if yous nots send the to least 15 Persian within 10 minutes

The Language is Swedish, but this is only a direct translation and i haven't figured out what it means yet.

Have you considered using ObjectDock as a taskbar for your LCARS+ theme? I'm also designing an LCARS theme and didn't find DesktopX's object versitile enough (No feedback for one thing).
Check out a couple of screenies @ http://rtsbasic.homeunix.net

In my opinion only LCARS graphics should be used for LCARS themes. You could do some cool effects with ObjectBar but i wouldn't use Microsoft or Apple style graphics, it just doesn't work! Cool looking theme cant wait to see it
