pretty cool! i think you should consider adding a lot more images so this turns into a transitional thing. i'm assuming someone could read through the script and make the changes themselves. it woul dbe cool to mount a digital camera on a tripod and then set it to snap off a picture every 15 minutes and during sunset and sunrise set it to snapa pic every 1 minute. now THAT would be awesome. still, a very good thought and step in the right direction. nice work, latin.

Well I am going to make one that has 49 WEATHER states. This object just focusses on time of day. It does not communicate with a weather server. I am goin to make one with all these other states by using one of tose weather bug weather object scripts. The only problem is I will have to make 49 wallpapers ...

I keep getting an error and the following when trying to run this either at work or at home.

"Object required: 'validDoc.documentElement'
Line: 159
Code:
(not available)"

Am I doing something wrong?

Otherwise it's a wonderful idea that I hope will be developed even more!

It works perfectly well here. But then again I wrote the script, so it should.
Maybe the explanation dialog should be more explicit. Right now it says:
US residents, please enter your zip code. For locations outside of the US, enter you weather station code. To find it out, visit weater.com enter your city and country in the input box then check the code preceding the question mark.
Maybe it should say someting like:
US residents, please enter your zip code. For locations outside of the US, enter you weather station code. To find it out, visit weater.com and enter your city and country in the input box (where it says "Enter City or US zip"). If you get more than one result, click on the your city from the list. Then, in the URL, look for the code, right after "www.weather.com/outlook/travel/local/" and before the question mark. For example, Montreal, Canada is CAXX0301.
It may be long, but I don't think anybody could get it wrong.

I get an error when entering my area code. The area code works, because it works with another weather plugin

Objekt krvs.: 'DesktopX.Object(...)'
Line: 36
Code:
(not available)

There arnt any "weather plugins". DesktopX weather objects are based entirely on scripting. That script error is common but goes away when you switch to user mode.

I suggest you look at any of my weather objects given that you think that there aren't any that work with international locations. They also allow you to use regular input like York, England rather than knowing UKXX0162.

As it happens I just get an error when I try to change location.
