I wish some of these contributors would encode with MPEG. I'm not a CPU stat nut but these WMV's *do* slow down my computer noticably. This one literally maxes out my cpu.

Still a very nice dream.

Try this:

SUPER

and this:

How To Guide

I might actually try it myself if I can figure out how to see what is inside a .dream file.

Now this fantastic . I'm not a CPU stat nut either but it does use about 39% of my E6600 Duo Core . Doesn't slow anything down . Congrats 5 stars .

This is wicked cool If only there was a way to make the "skip" at the end of the loop less noticeable....

Just click the sound icon in the tray, then select mixer, lower the dreamscene volume...

Yeah DreamScene should be muted by default. At least it was one my install. I'll take the time to eliminate the sound in my future .Dreams.

The screenshot looks great, but it isn't being displayed on my system with all the colors. What I have is basically mostly red??? CPU usage averages 24%. I have a 5.2 "Windows Experience Index" and 5.9 on graphics. So I'm wondering if the color issue isn't video driver related? I'm running the latest Nvidia 100.64 version. Any ideas on this? This is the only "dream" file that lacks the expected color.

No that's how it's supposed to be. I didn't think to make a screenshot from the actually video so I did a google image search. I've changed this for future ones. In regards to the super program, I installed it but it doesn't work, prolly doesn't work with 1080p video. The Original source is 1920x1080p so I'd like to find a program that will keep that resolution cause this is actually 1440x1080 cause that's what WMM converted it too. Which is the best I can do with the programs I have right now. Anyone one know of a program that can handle 1920x1080 editing. I'm not gonna step down to 720p. If I find a program that will do 1920x1080p editing I'll re up this in a heartbeat!! Cause this actually doesn't look as good as the source!!

Really jerky, like the camera is rocking about, and the jump at the end is quite noticeable.

Not sure if this is a problem with dream or not but when i maxmimize a window the animation stops... This is quite annoying on a dual monitor setup when you say have firefox open on one window and nothing on the next like right now.

Besides those two points it's really great, best one so far, but those points will still have me using a static wallpaper.

Btw, how come the screenshot you've posted up above doesn't look like the actual thing?

yes i believe it's supposed to stop the video cause why play it if you can't see it, right. why waste the processing power for something you can't see. Aren't you able to set to backgrounds, one for each screen? Again I'm just using free software so I don't have all the features like blending the frames together. If someone wants to donate, I'll start a fund but I don't do hardly any video editing so I'm not gonna spend any money on video editing software so I can make desktop backgrounds.

What format is your original file?

I've been playing around with VirtualDub today and it seems to be really good at editing AVI files and it seems to support alot of resolutions. Then there is this program TPMGENC which converts from AVI to MPEG. I haven't played with it yet.

Now I may keep using wmv cause I personally have problems running mpeg cause my video device driver kernel thing fails all the time while playing mpeg video, including watching TV live or recorded. For example as soon as I switch over to the spinning red gear dreamscene background my video driver fails and restarts and then fails again and then restarts. This is a repetitive cycle which may be solved if I restart my PC but not always. So I'm waiting on better drivers from nvidia before I switch.

Aren't you able to set to backgrounds, one for each screen? - Yeah but dual monitor, work on one monitor, look at the background on the other, but usually work on both, so it should only stop if all screens have maximized windows, not just one.
