Grey suxx - besides the whole skin looks pretty flat. Tell me one reason why I should use THIS instead of turning Windowblinds off and using the normal Windows style again?

You shouldn't. It's quite obvious this skin wasn't created for you, Lorania. Dave kindly shared with us a skin which pleased him, not you.

While it is rather grey, it does look quite nice and minimalistic and could easily grow on me.
With a little splash of colour perhaps and a bit of tweaking this could easily have entered the GUI Olympics in the minimalistic category.
Oh well...

Nice work though.

I tried to download it but a message popped up saying I downloaded 50MB of files without subscribing so I can't get this skin. It looks really cool from the preview and I would love to have it on my desktop but, alas, I am denied.

Hobbes - me an email & I'll send it to you direct.

Lorania - in general, I agree about grey, but I developed & use this for work, to kind of get the OS skin *out of the way* while still being more pleasing to use than Windows Classic. To each his/her own.

DigitalCHET - thanks for your comments. Like any skin, this remains a work in progress & some additional color accents are very possible with future updates.

Nice skin. I like the narrow taskbar, and I liked the detail on the wide one. I set this skin as the per application skin for PSP (previously I had that application excluded). Its nice, simple, unobtrusive, and very "crisp". Thanks!

Nice work. However, I find nothing but gray and white tiring to the eyes in a short time. That is a vision thing, though. My eyes are sensitive to light and this seems "glarey" to me.

I'm in love, I love minimalistic skins. You really should have entered this in the olympics. Look at the ipod above and maybe be inspired to do it in colors??? LOL If not I can do it myself. Great skin, just great, keep them coming!!

Thanks very much to all for the positive comments.

The entire skin can be colorized quite easily using SkinStudio if desired. Can also use WB's gamma setting to either lighten or darken it.

Once I learn a little more, I plan to add ToolBar icons & animations, but that may be awhile.

I have a couple of other skins in progress that are quite different - hope to have them finished & posted soon.

Thanks again.

I'm especially interested in feedback from folks using this skin on XP - there are some things that SkinStudio doesn't emulate very accurately & that I noticed on the XP rig I was able to briefly try it out on, alignment of Logoff/ShutDown Dialog Flags, for one. Any & all constructive criticism is appreciated.

Thanks.

That's high praise indeed coming from you, mormegil. You are most kind.

The skin is too incomplete for the GUIO, I fear, but your comments are very welcome.

Thanks.

Dave, the only thing I really noticed on XP was the buttons on Internet Explorer, the top window bar. The words file, edit, view etc. were cut off. I'm not sure why though.

Melanie -

Would you be kind enough to email a screenshot jpg of the IE problem to me? davidaiwa@cox.net It may be a Content Margins problem (there is an issue with that with Toolbar Buttons according to Adam) - I'll check it out when I can get access to the XP rig again.

Thanks for helping.

Great Skin. I love the monochromatic, flat look of it. Keep up the great work. I have XP and I haven't noticed any problems with the log off flags.
Thanks for the skin!

Looks good, Dave....sorry I've been caught up with other 'stuff'....had noticed the same 'issue' as noted below....and now I'm busy vetting the GUIO submissions....no rest for the wicked...

Thanks for your comments, Jafo, and for permission to make the mods. The BlindJafo skins were a big reason I got into WB in the first place.

Cheers,
